At one point I had been able to customize and pull out onto my workspace (photoshop, illustrator, indesign) all of those particular tools that I used the most, (and save them there) instead of having to constantly wait for the "fly-out" showing all tools

At one point I had been able to customize and pull out onto my workspace (photoshop, illustrator, indesign) all of those particular tools that I used the most, (and save them there) instead of having to constantly wait for the "fly-out" showing all tools.

I'm not referring to the "customize workspace" on the right hand side where you can choose (and create) a particular set of tools for specific purposes (e.g. Essentials, Typography, Painting, etc.  I'm referring to the tool set (by default on the left) where I can pull out individual tools that I use most and keep them neatly on the workspace even after I close the program and re-open. 

 

I don't recall which tutorial I used to create this, so perhaps someone out there knows where I can find it.
