This is NOT true. A new installer and serial number is available for registered users of Audition 3, as the old activation systems were retired and taken offline. If you have an existing license for Audition 3, please feel free to visit http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm l and you'll be able to download the correct installer and serial number for your language/region.
