Thank you JET,

(typing with friendly thankful tone)

I'm not looking for a quick button to get an effect, although if it existed, I would use it, but I am looking to learn how to achieve what I'm trying to do. I don't know if my terminology is correct; therefore hindering my searching abilities. I'm trying to find an online tutorial, but not turning up anything as to what I'm looking for. I do want to extrude the text, if I can, to get the effect that I want. I hate to say, but should point out, that I've tinkered with Photoshop for years and I say tinkered meaning that I can do the basic photo manipulation and fixing and such, but I'm, by no means, skilled in this area. I am looking to learn and cross over from the IT world into graphic design, if it's not too late for me.

I'm not good with a pencil. Funny, right? Anyway, the closest thing I found was ivipid.com, but I want to have the control of my scene, not some other company doing a quick render.I say this to let you know a couple of things: 1. I tend to be a bit too chatty (sorry) and 2. I have no idea what envelopes are other than the things I used to send mail in. When you say "3D Effect surface mapping" are you talking about bump mapping? I'm attaching a kind of rough mockup. It will show a top view and a front view. I want to have the ability to move the camera, the text, or the globe in order to get different views and such with the text extruded and then bent around the globe. I was playing with the bend/warp settings and not seeing it bend in the direction that my mockup points out. I could just be missing something. Agan, thank you for your time and patience.
